However even with a 2000lb load (single alxe trailer with a Yamaha Rhino), the rear end of the Caravan sits very low. So low that going thru drainage dips in the road or up into driveway can cause the hitch bar to scrape the ground. The solution was the Air Lift springs. I installed just the basic springs with no on board compressor. I chose to place the air line valve on the underside of the rear bumper at the corners. With this setup I can easily inflate and deflate the airbags to the pressure required based on the load. Now the van always sits level with the trailer fully loaded... no more scraping, no more sagging rear bumper.
